Introducing an easy way to save some of your tax refund

This year, the IRS will, for the first time, allow taxpayers to “split” their direct deposit refund into up to three accounts.  A requirement of this IRS program is that the financial institution accepts electronic deposits.  If you are preparing your own taxes or visiting a tax preparer here is our routing number to give to the IRS for the deposit of your refund: 321076140.   You will also have to include your credit union account number

The IRS has issued a new Form 8888 that provides individuals the opportunity to “split” their refund.  You can copy down this form by clicking on this link (IRS FORM 8888). Then just click on the link to form 8888 and print out the form and the instructions.  Include the form with your tax return to the IRS.

Spend some and save some with Form 8888 from the IRS.
You can spend some on expenses, and save some for a rainy day, an unexpected repair to your car, home improvement or education. You choose.

What you need to know to use Form 8888:
Your credit union routing number (also called ABA number).
Your account number.
